Why the Boys & Girls Club?

This fundraiser supports the Boys & Girls Club, along with impacted students and their teachers, by providing urgently needed supplies and funds.

In response to the catastrophic Eaton Fire at the start of the year, the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena (BGCP or Club) opened its doors to all families in the Pasadena/Altadena community from 8am-6pm Monday through Friday during the school closures, providing essential childcare to families.

Over 70 Club families lost their homes, in addition to two Club staff and one Board member. Dozens more are displaced, while many kids have lost both their home and their school.

Once the local schools reopened, BGCP returned to normal operating hours and continues to waive membership fees for families who lost their homes. On Monday, February 3, BGCP opened its doors to the students and teachers from their partner, Odyssey Charter School, whose campuses were impacted by the fires (one campus burned down, and the other is unusable). Hundreds of Odyssey students are now completing their curriculum at BGCP.
